How to Store Finishing Chemicals Safely in a Small Space
Finishing chemicals – lacquers, thinners, stains, oil-based finishes, solvents, and cleaning products – are some of the most hazardous materials routinely kept in a home shop. Many are flammable, some are toxic, and a few are both. In a small shop where these products may be stored near electrical equipment, heat sources, and dust-producing machinery, proper storage is not optional. Understanding the Hazards
Flammability is the primary concern for most finishing chemicals.
